i was told i have HPV the other day. its noncancerous with genital warts. i have a very weak immune system (different medical issue). so i am wondering what long term effects this will have and if/how it will affect a child when i choose to have one? is there any precautions i should take? any advice would be appriciated, i dont know much about this...

Correct usage of latex condoms greatly reduces, but does not eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading HPV. A vaccine can protect against several types of HPV, including some that can cause cancer.
